A United Church in a Divided World

Our nation is racked by division and strife – both politically and culturally. Unfortunately, sometimes, strife also comes to churches. Paul tells the believers in Philippi to make every effort to be united. Unity is a result of right attitudes: the attitudes of humility and servanthood. These attitudes are best seen in Jesus Christ himself. Part of this sermon will be very practical – in getting people to examine their own attitudes. The other part of the sermon will be one of the great highs of theology in examining how Christ emptied himself for our sake.
