How to Grow in Christ

So many Christians today are stagnant in their spiritual development. In this sermon we’ll be discussing the topic of sanctification – how do we make progress in Christian growth.  There is a healthy tension in Scripture between the truth that it is God who brings development and the parallel truth that it’s up to us to engage in spiritual disciplines. I’ll suggest the truth is “both/and” – that is God who is working within us (so we need to remain united with Christ) and we must be disciplined to engage in the disciplines.  It’s all up to God AND it’s all up to us.
